In that thread:
https://disruptorbeam.com/forums/gota/viewreply/136098/After talking today, we’ll be adopting these changes for next phase:
—Changing Aid to 1% on attacker success, 2% on defender success.
Thoughts: This never really made sense originally, and should have been this way from the beginning.
—Changing Bribe to 1% on attacker success, 2% on defender success.
Thoughts: This never really made sense originally, and should have been this way from the beginning.
—Reducing defense VP by 30% from its existing amounts.
Thoughts: Defensive VP was giving a bit too much VP for the defender, encouraging Alliances to pound on smaller alliances too much. This provides less VP (for example, from 50 to 35), and we’ll be watching carefully to see how it affects AvA.
—Change hourly VP from 5% garrison ratio to 3% garrison ratio.
Thoughts: This should help smaller Alliances keep their hourly VP running at 100%. After reviewing average garrison size for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Alliances, 3% should be easier for smaller Alliances to attain at higher camp levels.
—Change attack VP from 5% garrison ratio to 2% garrison ratio.
—Change spoils from 5% garrison ratio to 2% garrison ratio.
Thoughts: We think that 5% was a bit too much of a penalty. Now, for a Level 20 camp, you’ll be able to take their garrison down to about 100 Sworn Swords before you start seeing fewer VP and spoils.
—Reducing phase time from three weeks to two weeks.
Thoughts: By the end of the second week, the positions of AvA victors are largely unchanged. Sometimes the leaderboards swap, but this most of the time the winners have been determined. We’re still discussing whether the break should be one week or two; currently, we are staying with one week for this intra-phase period, but may change it to two weeks after the next phase.
Please note that I say we’ll be adopting these changes, but we’re open to changing the exact amount before next week - or not doing them! Feedback is still encouraged, and we have been reading the thread closely.
