DB is going to revamp all Alliance Challenges; the timers you see on current Alliance Challenes show the time left until they 'expire' to be revamped.

They haven't released any details about what will change, but the change was announced in their latest patch log here: https://disruptorbeam.com/forums/gota/viewthread/18049/
